Basketball Recap: Mount Calvary Christian Chargers vs. Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers

The Mount Calvary Christian Chargers lost against the Chester Charter Scholars Academy Sabers back in February of 2023, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. Mount Calvary Christian took a 57-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Sabers. Mount Calvary Christian has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Several Chargers players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Josiah Masters, who scored 16 points along with two blocks. Another player making a difference was Avery Kopcha, who scored 17 points along with six steals and five assists.

Mount Calvary Christian now has a losing record at 9-10. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season.

Mount Calvary Christian will be playing in front of their home fans against the Cougars at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Conestoga Christian focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten last Tuesday. As for Chester Charter Scholars Academy, they will head out on the road to square off against the Vikings at 6:45 p.m. on Monday. East presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Sabers in Pennsylvania (the Vikings are ranked 189th, while the Sabers are ranked 411th).
