Preview: Donaldsonville Tigers vs. Patterson Lumberjacks
Donaldsonville and Patterson are an even 3-3 against one another since October of 2014, but not for long. The Donaldsonville Tigers will look to defend their home field on Friday against the Patterson Lumberjacks at 7:00 p.m. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Donaldsonville was beaten by St. James 55-24. Donaldsonville has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Despite the defeat, Donaldsonville got a solid performance out of Blake Turner, who rushed for 123 yards and three touchdowns.
Meanwhile, Patterson's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They were dealt a 55-13 loss at the hands of Archbishop Shaw. Patterson was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.
Donaldsonville's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Patterson, their loss was their third straight on the road, which dropped their overall record down to 2-6.
Donaldsonville was taken down by Patterson 49-20 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. Thankfully for Donaldsonville, Caylon Davis (who threw for 270 yards and three touchdowns while completing 81% of his passes, and also punched in a touchdown on the ground) won't be suiting up this time.
