Football Recap: Dynamic Duo of Zay Jenkins and Corban Butts Lead Port St. Joe to Victory

Port St. Joe won the last time they faced Destin and things went their way on Friday too. The Tiger Sharks were the clear victors by a 30-7 margin over the Sharks. Considering the Tiger Sharks have won three contests by more than 22 points this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Leading Port St. Joe to victory were Corban Butts and Zay Jenkins. Butts rushed for 110 yards on only 11 carries, while Jenkins picked up 73 receiving yards and two touchdowns. Those two receiving touchdowns gave Jenkins a new career-high. Jayden Curry got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Port St. Joe was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 200 rushing yards. They are 4-2 when they've run for more than 200 yards.

Port St. Joe didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off four passes before the game was over. Jenkins led the group effort, picking up two of those interceptions all by himself. Curry got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.

When it comes to explaining why Destin lost, don't look at Junior Harris. Despite the final result, he rushed for 122 yards on only 14 carries.

Port St. Joe's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 4-5. As for Destin, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

As of now, neither Port St. Joe nor the Sharks have any future games scheduled.
