Basketball Game Preview: Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack vs. Upper Dauphin Area Trojans

The Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy WolfPack will head out to face off against the Upper Dauphin Area Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 60.9 points per game this season.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy saw some tournament action on Saturday. The match between them and West Branch didn't end well, with Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy falling 72-55. While losing is never fun, the WolfPack can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 367th, while the Warriors are ranked 172nd).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ethan Bowen, who went 8 for 12 from beyond the arc on his way to 28 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 16.4 points per game. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Foytack, who went 7 of 13 en route to 16 points and five rebounds.

Meanwhile, Upper Dauphin Area was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 51-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of Millersburg. That's two games in a row now that the Trojans have lost by exactly eight points.

Upper Dauphin Area's defeat dropped their record down to 1-9. As for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy beat Upper Dauphin Area 58-51 when the teams last played back in January of 2024. The rematch might be a little tougher for Saint Joseph's Catholic Academy since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
