Legacy proved they can win big on Tuesday (they won by three) and on Thursday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Mojave Rattlers 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Longhorns have posted against the Rattlers since September 29, 2018.

Legacy was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-27, 25-15, 19-25, 25-22, 15-10.

Arial Fox paced Legacy's offense, picking up 16 kills. Fox got some help from Miy'Aja Diggs and her 24 assists. Fox was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Legacy has been performing well recently as they've won four of their last five matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-17 record this season. As for Mojave, their defeat ended a five-match streak of wins at home and dropped them to 10-18.

Looking ahead, after both having extra time off, Legacy and Mater Academy East Las Vegas will shake off the rust and duke it out at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mojave, they will be playing at home against Chaparral at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
