While GlenOak's win against McKinley wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Golden Eagles narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Bulldogs 3-2. The win continues a trend for the Golden Eagles in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won six in a row.

If you add up the scores from across all five sets (101-100) GlenOak actually scored fewer points, but in the end it didn't matter. The final score came out to 25-17, 11-25, 25-23, 24-26, 15-10.

Grace Lattavo paced GlenOak's offense, picking up 13 kills. Lattavo got some help from Rylie Calvert and her 27 assists. Lattavo was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

GlenOak's victory was their first in the conference, bumping their conference record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-5. As for McKinley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. GlenOak will venture away from home to square off against Fairless at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for McKinley, they will head out to challenge Northwest at 6:30 p.m. on Monday.
