Philipsburg-Osceola won the last time they faced West Branch, and Maddy Malinich did her part to make sure it happened again. The Philipsburg-Osceola Mountaineers enjoyed a cozy 44-27 victory over the West Branch Warriors on Friday thanks in part to Malinich, who went 8 of 20 on her way to 21 points and six steals. She has become a key player for Philipsburg-Osceola: the team is 3-1 when she posts at least five steals, but 0-16 otherwise.

Kaelin Wagner was another key player, putting up five points in addition to five rebounds and four steals. That's the most points she has posted since back in December of 2024.
