Baseball Recap: Cambridge Springs Takes a Loss

The matchup between Cambridge Springs and Maplewood on Wednesday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Devils lost 16-8 to the Tigers. The home team had taken home the W every time these teams have met since April 3, 2023, but that streak is no more.

Brett Kania made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and got on base in two of his four plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last five games he's played.

Cambridge Springs' loss dropped their record down to 3-7. As for Maplewood, with the win, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-6.

Cambridge Springs has already played their next game, a 15-0 defeat against Rocky Grove on the 8th. As for Maplewood, they also didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, an 11-0 victory against Reynolds on the 10th.
