Recap: Lincoln Trojans vs. Maclay Marauders

The Maclay Marauders typically have all the answers at home, but on Saturday the Lincoln Trojans proved too difficult a challenge. Lincoln breezed by Maclay on the road to the tune of 75-36. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Lincoln also won the last time the pair played back in January.

Lincoln's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jamiya Brown, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 12 rebounds. Brown hasn't dropped below two steals for five straight games. Another player making a difference was Kayleigh Dickey, who scored 19 points along with 6 steals and 5 rebounds.

Several Marauders players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Lauren Guyer, who scored 11 points. Guyer scored a full 30.6% of Maclay's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Journey Kramer was another key contributor, scoring 7 points.

Lincoln is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season. As for Maclay, their loss dropped their record down to 6-2.

Lincoln will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Chiles at 7:00 p.m. Hopefully Chiles focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 26 on Friday. As for Maclay, they will head out on the road to face off against FAMU DRS at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
