It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the Capistrano Valley Cougars can now relate to. They fell just short of the Griffins by a score of 1-0. It was the first time this season that Capistrano Valley let down their fans at home.
Capistrano Valley's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 18-4-1. As for Los Alamitos, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 15-5-5.
Capistrano Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Los Alamitos, they will look to defend their home pitch on Wednesday against Santiago. Santiago is coming into the contest with six straight victories on the road, so Los Alamitos is out to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
