Basketball Recap: Bruce Perez and Kyron Blanchette Secure Win for Hawthorne

Hawthorne lost to Wildwood back in November of 2024, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Cougars put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 52-31 victory. That's two games straight that the Cougars have won by exactly 21 points.

Hawthorne was led to victory by Kyron Blanchette and Bruce Perez. Blanchette posted 18 points, while Perez put up 18 points. Jaylen Hearn was another key player, putting up seven points.

Hawthorne's win bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Wildwood, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.

Hawthorne and Wildwood will both get a bit of extra prep time before their next contests. The next time the Cougars see the court they'll take on SEED: LA at 6:30 p.m. on December 1. As for Wildwood, their break will end when they face Rolling Hills Prep at 6:30 p.m. on December 2.
