Volleyball Recap: Wharton Takes a Loss

Wharton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 38th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 3-0 to the Bay City Blackcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Blackcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-11, 25-13.

Wharton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-21. As for Bay City, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 17-14 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Wharton will take on rival Brazosport at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Bay City is set to square off against their familiar foe El Campo at 4:30 p.m. on Friday.
