Volleyball Recap: Northside Takes Down Hancock in a Playoff Battle

It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Northside had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They didn't even let the Hancock Eagles on the board, marking their second-straight 2-0 shutout. The victory continues a trend for the Mustangs in their matchups with the Eagles: they've now won four in a row.

Northside easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-16, 25-12.

Northside found their leader in sophomore Jilliyn Yung, who had 11 assists.

Northside was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 11 aces. They are a perfect 7-0 when they serve at least ten aces.
