Preview: Cannelton Bulldogs vs. Medora Hornets
The Cannelton Bulldogs will be home for the holidays to greet the Medora Hornets at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
It's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 73-36, which was the final score in Cannelton's tilt against Pleasant View Christian on Saturday. While losing is never fun, Cannelton can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 438th, while Pleasant View Christian is ranked 71st).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 81-49, which was the final score in Medora's tilt against Christian Academy on Monday. Medora was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-20.
Cannelton's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Medora, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-5 record this season.
Cannelton took a serious blow against Medora in their previous meeting back in February, falling 68-33. Thankfully for Cannelton, Braxton McCory (who scored 27 points along with six rebounds and four steals) won't be suiting up this time. Will that be enough to change the final result?
