United not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since May 8, 2024 (when they won 11-1). Everything went their way against the Ferndale Yellow Jackets as they made off with an 11-1 win. This was payback for the Lions, who suffered a 12-4 loss the last time these two teams met.

Dmitri Worthington was incredible, getting on base in all four of his plate appearances with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run. Syson Oleksa also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

United's record is now 5-8. As for Ferndale, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-8.

The future could be bright for both United and Ferndale: their next opponents haven't had the best luck recently. The Lions will try to hand Portage their fourth-straight loss when the two meet at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Ferndale will look to extend Turkeyfoot Valley Area's three-game losing streak when they meet at 4:15 p.m. on Monday.
