Football Recap: Clarence Hunter Leads Moore Haven's Defense on Friday

The Moore Haven Terriers earned a 12-3 victory over the Palmer Trinity Falcons on Friday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Terriers.

Moore Haven can attribute much of their success to Tykeem Paseler, who threw for 169 yards and a pair of TDs, and also rushed for 41 yards.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Moore Haven's defense and their four sacks. Clarence Hunter was especially locked on to Palmer Trinity's QB and sacked him twice. Hunter has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Another thorn in Palmer Trinity's side was Aaryn Askew, who picked up a sack, forced one fumble, and made nine total tackles.

The win got Moore Haven back to even at 4-4. As for Palmer Trinity, their loss ended a five-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-2.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Moore Haven will challenge Trenton at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Palmer Trinity, they will face off against Archbishop Carroll at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' defense has only allowed 9.6 points per game this season, so the Falcons' offense will have their work cut out for them.
