Football Recap: Braighlen Thompson and Zaden Frierson Pace Pontotoc Defense

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against New Hope, Pontotoc was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Columbus Falcons by a score of 28-20.

Pontotoc didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Braighlen Thompson and Zaden Frierson. Thompson also made seven total tackles, which is notable because Pontotoc is 4-2 when he posts at least three total tackles, but 1-2 otherwise.

Pontotoc now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Columbus, they are on an eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
