After flying high against North Montgomery on Thursday, West Lafayette came back down to earth. The Red Devils fell just short of the Elkhart Lions by a score of 2-1 on Saturday. The Red Devils' loss signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.

Despite the loss, West Lafayette still got an impressive performance from Sophie Lee, who had 13 digs and two aces. Lee has been hot recently, having posted two or more aces the last four times she's played.

West Lafayette's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Elkhart, their victory bumped their record up to 18-5.

West Lafayette wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 2-0 loss against Homestead on the 27th. As for Elkhart, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Lake Central on the 27th.
