Basketball Recap: Carroll County Panthers vs. Eminence Warriors
After flying high against Villa Madonna last Friday, Carroll County came back down to earth. The Carroll County Panthers took a 66-55 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Eminence Warriors on Monday. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, with their most recent defeat being a 68-42 loss two weeks ago.

When it comes to explaining why Carroll County lost, don't look at Cooper Gutman. Despite the final result, he en route to 29 points and six rebounds. Gutman's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least 25 points. Another player making a difference was Rylan Kinman, who on his way to 14 points.
Even though they lost, Carroll County smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with ten offensive rebounds. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now pulled down at least ten offensive boards in three consecutive games.
Carroll County dropped their record down to 10-17 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Eminence, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-12 record this season.
