Basketball Recap: Melbourne Comes Up Short

Melbourne has been a dominant force so far, but they're in the middle of a mini-slump at the moment. They were three points away from ending the streak, but they lost a 65-62 heartbreaker at the hands of the Bergman Panthers. That's two games in a row now that the Bearkatz have lost by exactly three points.

Melbourne's defeat dropped their record down to 19-7. As for Bergman, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 21-9.

Coming up, Melbourne will take on Buffalo Island Central at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Bergman, they will head out to face off against Rose Bud at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
