Basketball Recap: Rehobeth Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rehobeth can now relate to. They had to suffer through a 86-15 loss at the hands of the Park Crossing Thunderbirds. While losing is never fun, the Rebels can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Alabama basketball rankings (they are ranked 300th, while the Thunderbirds are ranked sixth).

Saniya Jackson continued her habit of posting crazy stat lines for Park Crossing, going 10 of 15 on her way to 26 points and four steals. The matchup was Jackson's eighth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Aminata Fall, who went 6 for 8 en route to 15 points and five boards.

Rehobeth dropped their record down to 6-20 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight on the road. As for Park Crossing, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 28-1.

Rehobeth does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Park Crossing, they will square off against Pike Road at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
