If Walnut wanted to avenge their loss from the last time they played Diamond Bar, they should've done a better job of containing Ava Furumoto. The Brahmas put the hurt on the Mustangs with a sharp 3-0 victory on Monday with plenty of help from Furumoto, who had 17 digs and five assists. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last nine games she's played.

While Diamond Bar won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-19, 25-22, 25-11.

Defeat or not, Walnut got some senior leadership from Joya Shen and Elaine Zhu. Shen had 11 digs and three assists, while Zhu had eight digs.

Diamond Bar's win bumped their record up to 22-8. As for Walnut, with the loss, they broke their six-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-17.

As of now, neither Diamond Bar nor the Mustangs have any future games scheduled.
