Basketball Recap: Oark Comes Up Short

Oark extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 11 on Tuesday, dropping them down to 0-4. They were dealt an 81-23 loss at the hands of the Lead Hill Tigers. The Hornets lost against the Tigers in their previous head to head back in January of 2023, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 67-36 score last time.

As for Lead Hill, their win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 8-1. They have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six games by 21 points or more this season.

Lead Hill was led to victory by Noah Royce and Brett Arnold. Royce dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds, while Arnold went 6-for-7 on his way to 14 points and three steals. Royce is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last four games he's played. Gage Campbell also deserves some recognition as he posted his first assists of the season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Oark will take on Umpire at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lead Hill, they will have some time to savor their victory since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Flippin at 5:30 p.m. on December 1.
