Baseball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for B-G-M

B-G-M hadn't done well against Lynnville-Sully recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Monday. The Bears had just enough and edged out the Hawks 3-2. That's two games straight that the Bears have won by just one run.

The victory was the fourth in a row for B-G-M, bringing their record up to 6-2. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 4.75 runs across that stretch. As for Lynnville-Sully, their loss was their first in the conference, dropping their conference record down to 5-1 and their overall record down to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. B-G-M will face off against Colfax-Mingo at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Tigerhawks have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 8.17 runs per game on average), something the Bears will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Lynnville-Sully, they will challenge Albia at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
