Basketball Recap: Verona Takes a Loss

Verona was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They took a blow against the Early Panthers, falling 61-26. While losing is never fun, the Wildcats can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Panthers are ranked 106th).

Verona's defeat dropped their record down to 3-6. As for Early, they pushed their record up to 7-1 with the win, which was their 11th straight at home dating back to last season.

Verona has already played their next contest, a 50-48 loss against Hurley on the 23rd. As for Early, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 35-30 defeat against Blue Eye on the 23rd.
