Baseball Recap: Roosevelt Takes a Loss

Roosevelt was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their 20th straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-0 to Petrides. If the Cougars were looking for revenge after losing 10-0 to Petrides when the teams met back in April of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Roosevelt's defeat dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Petrides, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Roosevelt will be playing at home against McKee Vo-Tech at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Cougars will need to watch out since the Seagulls have now posted at least ten runs in their last five matches. As for Petrides, they will take on Erasmus Hall at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. The Dutchmen have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.33 runs per game on average), something Petrides will no doubt try to take advantage of.
