Volleyball Recap: Gaston Day Takes a Loss

Gaston Day saw some tournament action on Saturday. They took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westside Rams.

Kendyl Taylor paced Gaston Day's offense, picking up six kills. Taylor got some help from Mary Ellen Lovelace and her ten assists.

Gaston Day's loss dropped their record down to 15-3. As for Westside, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-6-1 record this season.

Gaston Day wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Southside Christian on the 11th. As for Westside, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Woodmont on the 11th.
