Basketball Game Preview: Carson Senators vs. Reed Raiders + How To Watch

Carson is on a seven-game streak of home losses dating back to last season, and Reed a three-game streak of away losses also dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Tuesday. The Carson Senators will be playing in front of their home fans against the Reed Raiders at 7:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, these teams will really light up the scoreboard.

Carson is coming home looking for redemption after taking a loss in their road opener. They fell 69-62 to South Tahoe on Saturday.

Despite their defeat, Carson saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Isaac Chambers, who went 5-for-10 en route to 12 points and five steals, was perhaps the best of all. Jaren Thornburg was another key player, shooting 75% from the field on his way to 12 points.

Meanwhile, you're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter and that's exactly how it played out for Reed on Monday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that they blew Sparks out of the water with a 77-17 final score. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-14.

Reed's win came from a few key players Carson will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Xavier Hoffman, who went 8-for-11 to rack up 18 points and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Chase Spencer, who shot 71% from the field en route to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and three steals.
