After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Malad, Glenns Ferry was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They blew past the West Side Pirates 14-1. Considering the Pilots have won nine contests by more than nine runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.
Taylor Martinez was a major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Glenns Ferry let Sahira Arevalo and Shelby Dickson run wild. Arevalo scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3, while Dickson scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-2. The team also got some help courtesy of Madison Fisher, who scored two runs and stole two bases.
