Soccer Game Preview: Point Arena vs. Roseland Collegiate Prep

The Point Arena Pirates will head out on the road to square off against the Roseland Collegiate Prep Grizzlies at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Neither squad made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Point Arena came into their game on Thursday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Calistoga, falling 3-0.

Meanwhile, Roseland Collegiate Prep and Credo finished up on equal footing with a 1-1 draw on Wednesday.

The Grizzlies' goal came courtesy of Jonathan Chavez, who's now up to five this season.

Point Arena's loss dropped their record down to 9-8-2. Roseland Collegiate Prep's draw makes their record 7-7-4 this season.

Point Arena beat Roseland Collegiate Prep by a goal in their previous matchup back in September, winning 1-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Pirates since the team won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
