Basketball Recap: West Jefferson Triumphs

West Jefferson won the last time they faced Northeastern and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Roughriders walked away with a 34-21 win over the Jets. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Roughriders.

Despite the loss, Northeastern saw an underclassman step up: freshman Annalee Williams dropped a double-double with 14 points and 17 boards. Williams is also crushing it when it comes to steals: she's grabbed at least two every time she's taken the court this season. Chloe Miller was another key player, putting up four points.

West Jefferson now has a winning record of 3-2. As for Northeastern, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-2.

Coincidentally, West Jefferson and Northeastern will both be playing Mechanicsburg the next time they take the court. The Jets will host the Indians at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday, while the Roughriders will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
