Football Recap: Beggs Takes a Loss

Beggs lost against Holdenville back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Demons lost 52-26 to the Wolverines. The Demons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Holdenville got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Abe Gomez out in front who rushed for 157 yards and three TDs while picking up 7.5 yards per carry. Gomez's rushing production has been exceptional recently as that marked his fourth straight game with at least 117 rushing yards. Bo Black also helped with two touchdowns in total.

Beggs' loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Holdenville, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Beggs will take on rival Comanche at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Holdenville is set to square off against their familiar foe Dibble at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have allowed few points on average (the Wolverines 7.5, the Demons 13.7) so any points scored will be well earned.
