Recap: Heritage Huskies vs. Knightdale Knights
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Millbrook, the Heritage Huskies were happy to have found some success on Friday. They had just enough and edged Knightdale out 53-50. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Heritage has posted since December 12, 2023.
Heritage's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ryder Strand, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds. Another player making a difference was KJ Cox, who scored ten points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
Knightdale's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brandon Adams, who scored nine points along with 19 rebounds and four blocks. Adams continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Khaim Taylor was another key contributor, scoring ten points.
Heritage pushed their record up to 9-6 with that win, which was their fifth straight on the road. As for Knightdale, their defeat dropped their record down to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Heritage will take on Wake Forest at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Wake Forest is coming into the match on a five-game losing streak. As for Knightdale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Rolesville at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Rolesville will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps North Carolina Rankings (they are ranked 326th, while Knightdale is ranked 106th).
