Soccer Recap: Riverside Takes a Loss

After soaring to seven goals the game before, Riverside was a bit more limited in their matchup on Tuesday. They fell 2-0 to the Shadle Park Highlanders. The game was a 0-0 toss-up at halftime, but Riverside couldn't quite close it out.

Riverside was without their leading scorer, Mikaela Davis, in Tuesday's contest. With Davis sitting this one out, Amelia Carroll got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. her season average of 57.5).

Riverside's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Shadle Park, the win also got them back to even at 2-2.

Riverside has already played their next match, a 2-2 draw against Newport on the 20th. As for Shadle Park, they also wasted no time getting back out on the pitch and have already played their next game, a 7-0 defeat against Lakeside on the 18th.
