Basketball Recap: Tonkawa Comes Up Short

Tonkawa was the 55-47 winner over Blackwell when they last played one another back in January, but their luck changed this time around. The Tonkawa Buccaneers took a 70-59 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Blackwell Maroons on Friday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Tuesday (58), the Buccaneers still had to take the loss.

Tonkawa now has a losing record of 11-12. As for Blackwell, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-12.

Coincidentally, Tonkawa and Blackwell will both be playing Pawnee the next time they take the court. Blackwell will host Pawnee at 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, while Tonkawa will host them at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
