Volleyball Recap: Holton Takes a Loss

Holton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Hart Pirates. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Pirates this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 on Tuesday.

Hart can attribute much of their success to Alayna Schiller, who had eight digs and five aces. What's more, Schiller posted three assists, the most she's had over her last 12 matches.

Holton's defeat dropped their record down to 4-16. As for Hart, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-19-1 record this season.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Holton is set to challenge their familiar foe North Muskegon at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. Meanwhile, Hart will square off against rival Shelby at 10:45 a.m. on Saturday.
