Baseball Recap: Straughn Tigers vs. Headland Rams
Straughn had lost three straight on the road, but on Tuesday they dropped down to 10-17 to make it four. They came up short against the Headland Rams, falling 15-5. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-1 back in March.
Matt Ashberry made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one run, and one double.
As for Headland, they are on a roll lately: they've won 17 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 20-9 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.3 runs over those games.
On Headland's side, Justin Parnell was a major factor no matter where he played.
