Basketball Recap: Battery Creek Comes Up Short

Battery Creek lost against Beaufort back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Battery Creek Dolphins took a 37-32 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Beaufort Eagles.

Despite the loss, Battery Creek still got an impressive performance from Makayla Wilson, who posted 13 points.

Even though they lost, Battery Creek smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 18 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive boards they've managed all season.

Beaufort was led to victory by Zaria Coaxum and Carson Crosby. Coaxum had 12 points and five steals, while Crosby put up four points along with eight rebounds and five blocks. That's the most blocks Crosby has posted since back in January. Jania Hayward was another key player, putting up four points.

Battery Creek has been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-3 record this season. As for Beaufort, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-5.

Battery Creek wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 43-39 loss against Whale Branch on the 13th. As for Beaufort, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 49-28 win against Battery Creek on the 14th.
