Football Recap: Wayland Academy Piles Up the Points Against Montello

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Oakfield, Wayland Academy was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They claimed a resounding 44-8 victory over the Montello Hilltoppers.

Wayland Academy's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Montello, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-3.

Coming up, Wayland Academy will host St. John's Northwestern Military Academy at 7:00 p.m. on the 20th. The Big Red will be up against the Lancers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 41.25 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Montello, they will venture away from home to take on Princeton/Green Lake at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
