After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Rockmart, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 2-1 win over the North Murray Mountaineers. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Warriors as it put an end to their eight-game losing streak.

Lizet Jimenez spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on six hits.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Hope Alexander, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base, one run, and one double. Jorja Fox also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe's win bumped their record up to 4-16. As for North Murray, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 7-14.

Coming up, Lakeview-Fort Oglethorpe will be playing in front of their home fans against Coahulla Creek at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for North Murray, they will head out to take on Pepperell at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
