Football Recap: Dublin Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Dublin lost against Livermore back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Gaels were just a hair shy of victory and fell 22-21 to the Cowboys. The Gaels have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

When it comes to explaining why Dublin lost, don't look at Andre Armendariz. Despite the final result, he rushed for 85 yards and two TDs.

Dublin didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. The picks came courtesy of Kuma Shimonishi and Omar Sadiqyar. Sadiqyar also set a new season-high mark in total tackles with six. Another thorn in Livermore's side was Tyler Gray, who picked up four sacks and made 19 total tackles (8.0 for loss).

The critical scores for Livermore came from Matteo Lortie, Shane Patterson, and AJ Carey.

Dublin now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Livermore, their victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dublin will venture away from home to face off against Granada at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Livermore, they will head out to square off against Redwood Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles' defense has only allowed 7.7 points per game this season, so the Cowboys' offense will have their work cut out for them.
