Basketball Recap: Legacy Traditional Basse Comes Up Short

Legacy Traditional Basse was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They had to suffer through a 78-37 loss at the hands of the Falls City Beavers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolfpack this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 53-38 back in December of 2024.

Leading Falls City to victory were Dale Shaffer and Kain Jurgajtis. Shaffer went 7 for 10 en route to 17 points in addition to seven rebounds and three steals, while Jurgajtis went 6 of 13 on his way to 14 points along with seven assists and seven steals. That's the most assists Jurgajtis has posted since back in December of 2024. Another player making a difference was Austin Bordovsky, who posted eight points and five boards.

Legacy Traditional Basse's defeat dropped their record down to 3-12. As for Falls City, their win was their seventh straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 10-9.

Legacy Traditional Basse will challenge Sabinal at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Falls City, they will venture away from home to square off against Stacey at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
