Basketball Recap: Jackson Comes Up Short

Jackson lost against Stockbridge back in December of 2016 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Red Devils were beaten by the Tigers 66-23. The Red Devils just can't catch a break and have now endured five defeats in a row dating back to last season.

Stockbridge's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaila Scott led the charge by putting up 19 points. Scott's big performance that afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points. Another player making a difference was Ashley Richburg, who posted 14 points.

Jackson's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Stockbridge, their win was their tenth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 3-1.

Coming up, Jackson will venture away from home to challenge Social Circle at 2:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Stockbridge, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Ola at 6:00 p.m. on December 2. This will be the Tigers' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
