Preview: Dongola Demons vs. Egyptian Pharaohs
After seven games on the road, Dongola is heading back home. They will take on the Egyptian Pharaohs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Given that the pair suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.
Last Friday, Dongola was the victim of a rough 74-48 loss at the hands of Joppa-Maple Grove.
Meanwhile, things could have been worse for Egyptian, but they could have been a whole lot better as they took a 66-52 loss to Shawnee on Tuesday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Egyptian in their matchups with Shawnee: they've now lost four in a row.
Despite the loss, Egyptian had strong showings from Brandon Plott, who scored 27 points along with 6 rebounds, and Damarion Clark, who scored 15 points. The contest was Plott's third in a row with at least ten points.
The losses dropped Dongola to 0-7 and Joppa-Maple Grove to 3-4.
