Baseball Recap: High Tech SD Starts Season with Victory Against Mount Miguel

High Tech SD had to kick off their season on the road on Tuesday, but they showed no ill effects. They put the hurt on the Mount Miguel Matadors with a sharp 8-1 victory. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest win the Storm have posted since April 23, 2024.

The team relied heavily on Nano Acevedo, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with four runs, one triple, and two RBI. Those four runs gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Tyson Vaugh, who went 3-for-4 with one stolen base and one RBI.

High Tech SD kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Mount Miguel onlymanaged six hits.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. High Tech SD will square off against Crawford at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Mount Miguel, they are headed away from home for the first time to challenge Southwest SD at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday.
