Volleyball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Paige Smith and Tess Cornia Lead Rich to Victory

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Rich walked away with it. Everything went their way against the Water Canyon Wildcats on Friday as they made off with a 3-0 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Rebels.

Leading Rich to victory were Tess Cornia and Paige Smith. Cornia had six digs and three aces, while Smith had ten digs and two aces. That's the most aces Cornia has posted since back in August.

They weren't the only good servers: Rich was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 13 aces. They are 9-2 when they serve at least ten aces.

Rich's win bumped their record up to 16-11. As for Water Canyon, their loss dropped their record down to 8-15.

Rich didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Monticello on the 24th. As for Water Canyon, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 defeat against Piute on the 24th.
