Basketball Recap: Presbyterian Christian Victorious

Presbyterian Christian saw some tournament action on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the St. Martin Yellow Jackets 47-45. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Bobcats.

When it comes to explaining why St. Martin lost, don't look at Tyson Walker. Despite the final result, he went 6-for-10 to rack up 17 points. Walker continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last four games he's played. Another player making a difference was Reginald 'RJ' Keys, who shot 42% from the field en route to 10 points and seven boards.

Presbyterian Christian's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for St. Martin, their defeat ended a four-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Presbyterian Christian will venture away from home to square off against Sumrall at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Presbyterian Christian will be up against Sumrall's rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Martin, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Hancock at 7:00 p.m. on December 5.
