Baseball Recap: Tuesday's Win Is De Leon's Eighth in Last Ten Outings

De Leon's game last Tuesday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Tuesday. They never let the Cisco Loboes get on the board and left with a 4-0 victory. The Bearcats have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Loboes, too.

Not much got past Trenton Zmeskal, who gave up just seven hits and racked up seven Ks to keep Cisco off the board. Zmeskal has been consistent : he hasn't given up a single earned run in six consecutive appearances.

At the plate, De Leon's win was truly a team effort as three different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Brenner Wright, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

De Leon is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-3-1 record this season. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.5 runs over those games. Cisco has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 6-4-2 record this season.

De Leon will have a chance to go back-to-back against Cisco: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
