Volleyball Recap: Falcon Takes a Loss

It was a good run, but Falcon unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-match winning streak on Thursday. They fell just short of The Classical Academy Titans by a score of 3-2. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Titans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 on October 7th.

Falcon started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 22-25, 11-25, 25-21, 25-22, 15-7.

Their offense was headlined by Olivia Pitts and Alyvia Lane, who picked up nine kills apiece. They got some help from Taryn Hall and her 37 assists. Finally, Pitts was also a dominant defender, finishing with a team-high six blocks.

Falcon's defeat dropped their record down to 15-6. As for The Classical Academy, they pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their fourth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Falcon is set to face off against their familiar foe Sierra at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, The Classical Academy will challenge rival Elizabeth at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
