Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Largo). They blew past the St. Petersburg Green Devils, posting a 42-14 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Packers' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Florida football rankings (they are ranked 138th, while the Green Devils are ranked 291st).

A big part of Largo's victory came down to the chemistry between Carmelo Dixon and his top target Anthony Harris. Dixon threw for 120 yards and one TD while completing 75% of his passes while Harris gained 114 total yards and a touchdown. Dixon's passing game has become a key predictor of Largo's success: the team is undefeated when his passer rating is 100 or higher, but only 1-3 otherwise.

Largo didn't let much get past them through the air: they limited St. Petersburg to a completion percentage of just 45%. The team can thank Ammarion Walker for the heroic effort on defense: he. Given Dixon's standout performance, it's clear St. Petersburg's secondary just wasn't on the same level.

Special teams played a big role in the game for Largo, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Rashad Smith, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.

Although St. Petersburg took the loss, they still got scores from Christopher Tank Jr and Blake Dickinson.

The win made it two in a row for Largo and bumps their season record up to 4-3. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points over those games. As for St. Petersburg, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Largo has already played their next game, a 34-21 win against Steinbrenner on the 10th. As for St. Petersburg, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next matchup, a 31-21 victory against Northeast on the 10th.
